My pen and ink illustrations are inspired during times of reflection, worship and teachings. Each drawing is an interpretation of an image that forms in my mind during the aforementioned times. Images can communicate more than words and it allows the viewer to interpret the image in his or her own unique way. What is most important to me as the artist is to create work that quides or inspires the viewer to seek God and reflect on his or her relationship with him.
The roughness of each sketch is important to me because it reminds me of the moment it was conceived.
These and many more can be seen in my book Sermon Illustrations.
Please read this. If you have viewed one of my illustrations and it has touched, inspired, made you think or comforted you any way, please let me know. My goal is to communicate what words cannot and for so many, a picture does speak a thousand words. I do believe it is the language of the heart.
